DOMAINE DE CABASSE
The name Cabasse comes from the Italian “Casa Bassa” which means “the house under the village”. The origin of Domaine de Cabasse goes back to the 14th century when the pope used to live in Avignon.
In 1991, the Haeni family – originally from Berne, Switzerland – acquired the domain to focus on the vineyard and on the winemaking part, their true passion. During this period, the winery became an entity in its own right. Over time, and thanks to the Sablet and Seguret appellations, the domain developed an enviable reputation beyond the borders of the country.
